Duration of the course
The course is a 4 day course, Day 1 and 2 will spent in the classroom and pool, Day 3 and 4 are spent in the ocean doing 4 dives to qualify.
What You Learn
The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:

- 5Confined Water Dives to learn and practice the basic skills;
- 4Open Water Dives to review your skills and explore the underwaterworld.
Scuba Gear You Use
In the PADI Open Water Diver course, you will use all the basic scuba gear (hire of which is included with your course). You may want to invest in your own mask, snorkel and fins since these personal items are a lot more fun to use when they fit properly. A buoyancy compensating jacket that holds your scuba tank, a scuba regulator that delivers air, a weight system and instrumentation to monitor depth and air supply will also be used. You will also wear a scuba wetsuit.

The Learning Materials you will use
PADI offers a variety of home-study materials for the Scuba Diver. While Online is the most convenient option, you may also choose the paper version that includes your manual and RDP Table.
PADI’s Open Water Diver materials cover what you need to know about basic scuba diving skills, terminology and safety procedures. For each concept you’ll read a description and watch a video demonstration. Then you will jump in the pool to practice these skills with your instructor. Later, as a certified diver, use the course materials as a reference guide for future diving adventures and to review what you learned.
